A growing number of studies have shown a link between chronic periodontitis and increased risk of cardiovascular disease. Inflammatory periodontal tissue disease is considered a risk factor for cardiovascular pathology.
Therefore, it is important to determine the feature disorders transaminase activity in the myocardium and in the peripheral blood under conditions of combined pathology – adrenaline damage to myocardium and experimental periodontitis.
The aim of the study – to determine the values of aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase activity in myocardium and blood serum in the combined pathology of experimental periodontitis and myocardial adrenal damage for the pathogenesis of their development.
Materials and Methods. The experiments were performed on 45 non-linear white male rats weighing 0.17–0.21 kg, which were divided into five groups (9 animals in each). The first – control, second, third, fourth and fifth – groups of animals with adrenaline myocardial damage (AMD) during the course of experimental periodontitis (EP), respectively, on the 1st, 7th, 10th and 17th days of the experiment . During the experiment, myocardial tissue and blood of rats was collected from rats and the activity of the enzymes was evaluated – alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST).
Results in Discussion. In animals with combined AMD pathology and experimental periodontitis, the results showed an increase of ALT and AST. Thus, the study of the activation of the enzymatic system of aminotransferases in the dynamics of formation of cardiomyopathy and periodontitis showed a gradual stimulation of enzymatic processes.
Conclusion. Observations show that the combined pathology increases the activity of the studied aminotransferases both in the blood and in the myocardium, which is important in the diagnosis, prevention and development, as well as for the treatment of coronary heart disease and pathology of periodontal tissues.
