Introduction. The use of modern pesticides leads to the entry into environmental objects of both the same and different biological action of their active substances, which can belong to one or different chemical classes. The article describes the scientific justification for the choice of method, development of conditions for sample preparation, qualitative identification and quantitative determination of several active substances of pesticides with their simultaneous presence in environmental objects.
The aim of the study is development of chromatographic methods for the analytical determination of several active substances of pesticides in their simultaneous presence in environmental objects.
Research Methods. Chromatographic analysis was performed on Shimazu (Japan) liquid chromatographs with an ultraviolet or fluorescent detector. Chromatographic separation of the studied mixtures was carried out on steel columns 250/4.6 Nucleosil 100-5 C18; 250/4.6 Nucleosil 100-7 С6Н5; 250/4.6 Nucleodur 100-5 СN-RP. The correctness and accuracy of the determination of the studied compounds in the samples were checked by the "introduced-found" method. The identification of the studied active substances in sample extracts was carried out according to their retention time in the graduation solutions of the mixture; quantitative determination was carried out by the method of absolute graduation (external standard). IBM SPSS StatisticsBase v.22 and MS Excel package of statistical programs were used for statistical processing of the results.
Results and Discussion. The analysis of several pesticides by the method of high-performance liquid chromatography with their simultaneous presence in the sample takes place under the following conditions: 1) reversed-phase chromatography using a non-polar adsorbent (stationary phase) C18 and a polar eluent (mobile phase) with the main components (water, acetonitrile and/or methanol) and possibly a modifier (orthophosphoric acid) in the mode of isocratic or gradient elution; 2) ultraviolet, less often – fluorescent, detection.
Conclusions. The method of high-performance liquid chromatography allows for the simultaneous determination of several active substances of pesticides of the same and/or different chemical classes with their simultaneous presence, which speeds up the analysis, reduces the costs of its implementation, and minimizes the chemical burden on researchers and environmental objects.
