COMPARISON OF LIPID PEROXIDATION AND ACTIVITY OF ANTIOXIDANT ENZYMES IN THE MUCOSA OF PARADONTIUM IN DIFFERENT PERIODS OF FORMATION OF EXPERIMENTAL PNEUMONIA

Periodontitis and other periodontal pathology is one of the main causes of tooth loss. Distribution of periodontitis increased in recent years in developed countries and in countries with low socio-economic level. In response to the complex infl uence of endogenous and exogenous factors in periodontal tissues formed infl ammation. Infl ammation leads to disruption of redox processes in the mucosa of periodont. The article shows changes of lipid peroxidation and activity of antioxidant enzymes in the mucosa of periodont conditions of experimental pneumonia (EP). It was revealed that during the early period of EP activity of catalase enzymes, superoxide dismutase and products of antioxidant system was increased in response to increase in free radicals of oxygen. In the later period of EP identifi ed a negative trend of antioxidant system.
