Experience of treating patients with acute pancreatitis

SUMMARY. During the period from 2007 to 2012 there wereexamined 115 patients withacute pancreatitis of
varying severity. Age of patients was from 28 to 72 years old.The changes in cellular and humoral immunitywas found in
examined patients in comparison with healthy people. It was proved that number of major classes of cells of cellularim
munitydecreases. Examined patients weredividedinto 2 groups: patients wit hacutepancreatitis, edematous form –
23 patients, patients wit hacute destructive pancreatitis – 92 patients. As a coregroupofobservationsincluded 42 patients
(36.8%), in which the positive results achieved by intensive conservative treatment, surgical treatment, and the use of
extracorporeal detoxification. Application of efferent methods in the treatment of acute destructive pancreatitis has
reduced the number of septic complications and lethal outcomes.
