SUMMARY. The article presents a clinical case of a patient with combined cardiovascular pathology – ischemic heart disease (IHD), chronic heart failure (CHF) and iron deficiency anemia.
The aim – to demonstrate the features of the clinical course, diagnosis and complex treatment of a patient with severe cardiovascular pathology and concomitant iron deficiency anemia with an emphasis on the pathogenetic relationships between these conditions and the impact of anemia correction on the course of the underlying disease.
Material and Methods. The clinical manifestations and examination results of a patient with a combination of cardiovascular pathology and anemia were analyzed, the optimal diagnostic and treatment tactics were determined taking into account modern ESC recommendations.
Results. Against the background of complex treatment aimed at correcting the anemia syndrome and optimizing HF therapy, significant clinical improvement was achieved. After the introduction of iron preparations and optimization of diuretic, neurohumoral and metabolic therapy, an increase in hemoglobin levels, improvement of hemodynamic parameters and tolerance to physical exertion were noted.
Conclusions. The presented clinical case demonstrated the importance of timely detection and correction of iron deficiency in patients with cardiovascular pathology to increase the effectiveness of treatment and improve the quality of life of patients.
