FASTING THERAPY: CLINICAL-LABORATORY AND MORPHOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF THE MECHANISM OF ACTION DURING PATHOLOGY OF THE DIGESTIVE ORGANS

SUMMARY. The report contains clinical and experimental data obtained by studying the effectiveness of fasting therapy (FT) in combination with enterosorption in patients with pathology of the hepatobiliary and gastroduodenal systems.
The aim – to investigate the dynamics of clinical and laboratory indicators and experimental data in patients with gastroenterological diseases in the process of unloading-diet therapy.
Results. In the course of the study, the effectiveness of FT in combination with enterosorption in patients with pathologies of the gastroduodenal and hepatobiliary systems was studied. FT was carried out according to the generally accepted methodology. The experimental part of the work was performed on mature white rats. The analysis of the obtained data made it possible to come to the conclusion about a significant improvement of both clinical and laboratory symptoms of diseases, as well as the functional state of the digestive system. We also described changes in the structure and activity of pit cells at experimental toxic hepatitis on the background of food deprivation in combination with enterosorption, which demonstrated the activation of regeneration processes of liver structures.
Conclusions. The FT method significantly improved clinical symptoms and laboratory parameters, and also had a positive effect on the functional state and morphological changes of the digestive organs in patients with gastroenterological pathology.
