Abstract

SUSUMMARY. The aim – to compare the impact of selected preconception preparation on the main indicators of the embryological protocol in IVF cycles for the treatment of infertility in women with ovarian endometriosis.

Material and Methods: A prospective clinical study was conducted among 110 women with infertility caused by ovarian endometriosis. Three clinical groups were formed: in the first group (38 women), sclerotherapy was performed before the ART cycle; in the second group (40 women), comprehensive preparation was conducted. The comparison group (32 women) did not receive any prior preparation or sclerotherapy before IVF.

Results. The second clinical group demonstrated the highest embryological outcomes, attributed to a greater average number of retrieved oocytes (12.20±3.85), of which mature oocytes accounted for (9.80±1.50). The highest percentage of fertilization (80.10 %) and the number of embryos (4.10±0.35) were also found in the group of patients who received comprehensive preparation for the IVF cycle.

Conclusions. Comprehensive preconception preparation significantly increases the chances of successful fertilization, pregnancy, and live births. The integration of various therapeutic approaches within assisted reproductive technologies can substantially improve reproductive outcomes in women with endometriosis.
