SUMMARY. The role of trauma in the structure of morbidity and mortality of the population has significantly increased at the end of the 20th century in the developed countries of the world.
The aim – to conduct a sex and age analysis of victims with polysystemic injuries.
Material and Methods. We analyzed 102 inpatient charts of victims with polytrauma. The matrix of the study was made up of victims aged from 27 to 86 years.
Results. By gender, the victims were divided as follows: men – 64, women – 38, respectively. From the studied array of patients, most injuries happened under domestic conditions – 1st rank and 40.2 % of cases (Table 1). Injuries in traffic accidents (traffic accidents) in the total number of victims took a share of 29.4 % – the 2nd rank.
Conclusions. It was established that the largest share among both men and women falls on domestic injuries (1st rank), which, however, is more common among male victims. The second most common cause of injury is road traffic injuries: 40.6 % among men, 36.8 % among women.
