The short report describes a rare case of bilateral damage to the humeral plexus in a young woman . A year ago, due to a difficult birth there shoulder injury s woven b in childbirth. Not treated. The pathology was diagnosed accidentally, as a result of examination of her child for hereditary disease. The mother was diagnosed with chronic damage to the left humeral plexus of the upper type (C5–C7). Combined intrarotation-drive contracture of the left shoulder joint. Connective tissue dysplasia syndrome. Bilateral flat feet. Valgus deformity of the first toes of both feet.
We believe that the damage to the shoulder plexuses occurred due to forced and strong stretching (strongly strained during childbirth holding the handles of the gynecological chair). Excessive displacement of the shoulder and all components of the humeral plexus caused their mechanical compression between the clavicle and the first ribs against a background of strong tension. Muscle weakness, excessive pathological mobility , especially of the left arm, were the main factors of traumatic damage to the plexuses.
