Requirements for article design
It is accepted only those manuscripts which have not been published or sent to other journals; do not contain data that constitute a state secret: original articles, literature reviews, short reports, reviews, abstracts, information about congresses, conferences, symposia, meetings, seminars, and other scientific, research and practical events.
A manuscript should be written using Microsoft Word. Font – Times New Roman, size 14, line spacing – 1.5, all margins – 2 cm, paragraph – 1.25 cm. Formatting paragraphs with intervals (spaces) or tabs is not allowed. No hyphenation is in the text. Pages are not numbered.
The volume of original articles, including figures, references list, abstracts, is no more than 8 pp.; literature reviews, lectures, problem articles – no more than 12 pp.; short reports, reviews – no more than 7 pp.
The article’s elements should be arranged as follows: UDC at the left, authors’ initials and surnames, full name of the institution (in capital letters), article title, abstract in Ukrainian (1800-2500 characters), which should comprise such structural elements as introduction, research purpose, methods, results and discussion, conclusions, keywords in Ukrainian; introduction, research purpose, materials, methods, results and discussion, conclusions, prospects for further research; bibliography list; references list; article title in English; authors’ initials and surnames in English, full name of the institution in English; structured abstract in English (1800-2500 characters), keywords in English; information about authors; e-mail.
The bibliography list is after the main text. The list is formed in the order of resources’ mention in the text. All sources should be numbered and be no than 10 years old. In-text citations are indicated by numbers in square brackets and correspond to the numbering in the bibliography list. Bibliography composition should correspond to DSTU 8302:2015 “Information and documentation. Bibliographic reference. General provisions and compilation rules”. The References list is compiled following APA (American Psychological Association) style.
Prohibition to refer to the aggressor state’s scholarly papers
It is prohibited citing and including in the reference list russian-language contributions published in any country, incl. papers written in other languages but published in russia and belarus.
All measures (units of various quantities, digital data of clinical and laboratory studies) must comply with the International System of Units (SI) under the requirements of DSTU 3651-97 “Units of physical quantities”. The names of companies, reagents, and drugs should be given in the original transcription.
Illustrations (charts, graphs, diagrams) should be black & white, created in the same programs as the text file, and submitted together with the text file. Minimize the number of illustrations (figures, diagrams, charts). Tables and figures are placed in the text after the first reference to them. In the figure’s caption includes a title, explanation of all conventional symbols (numbers, letters, curves, etc.). Tables should be compact, numbered, and named. Table numbers, titles, and statistically processed data must correspond to those in the text. Formulas are created in Microsoft Equation 3.0.
Designations of various measures, units of physical quantities, and results of clinical and laboratory tests should meet the International System of Units (SI); medical terms – Terminologia Anatomica; names of diseases – International Classification of Diseases, Tenth Revision; medicines – the State Pharmacopoeia (X, XI). The names of companies and devices should be given in the original transcription. Abbreviations of words, names, and terms (except for well-known ones) are not allowed. The abbreviation is deciphered after the first mention and remains unchanged in the text.
The authors are responsible for the accuracy and originality of the submitted data (facts, quotes, names, surnames, research results, etc.). Articles that do not comply with the rules will not be considered.
