Abstract

Aim: To study the prevalence of childbirth in different social groups and among single women.

Materials and methods: A survey of women over the age of 20 regarding childbirth was conducted. We used the methods of anamnestic survey, statistical, analytical methods.

Results. Problems of medical and demographic situation in Ukraine with regard to fertility are revealed. We shed light on some problems of childbearing in women of Ukraine, which are related to the social status of women.

Conclusion. Thus, among the problems of childbirth is birth of children to single women, which make up one fifth of the entire female population, and a significant social difference in childbirth in various social groups of women.
