THE TEMPORAL AND SPATIAL ASPECTS OF EDUCATIONAL, PEDAGOGICAL AND SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITIES OF CIVIL PROTECTION AND DISASTER MEDICINE DEPARTMENT’S TEACHING STAFF FOR 1967-2017: CONTINUUM EXTENSION

Objectives. To study and generalize experience of Civil Protection and Disaster Medicine Department’s teaching staff for 50 years (1967-2017), to track the dynamics of changes in educational, pedagogical and scientific work, to assess results, to draw conclusions for the further improvement of the educational process, training of medical personnel and scientific activities.
Materials and methods. Author has studied archival and actual materials related to the organization and activities of SI «Zaporizhzhya Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education оf Ministry of Health of Ukraine» and Civil Protection and Disaster Medicine Department during 1967-2017. Materials of educational, pedagogical and scientific work of department’s teaching staff are analyzed and generalized with the use of comparative method and content analysis.
Results. The development of educational, pedagogical and scientific activities of Civil Protection and Disaster Medicine Department during 1967-2017 is assessed in the temporal and spatial aspects, achievements are identified and the ways of further improvement of educational and scientific work are outlined.
Conclusions. Consideration of history of medicine in comparison with its current status allows to track and in historical sequence assess the changes in medical education, the content of medical knowledge, the training of medical personnel, the problems of science, the prevailing theories and paradigms, organizational forms of providing emergency medical care in emergency situations of anthropogenic, natural, social and military nature.
