VESTIBULAR DYSFUNCTION PREVALENCE AMONG ADDESCENTS

Aim: To analyse the prevalence of vestibular dysfunction among adolescents.
Materials and methods. 612 students I. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical University
Were involved to detect dysfunction of the vestibular apparatus. In order to identify manifestations of vestibular dysfunction, we conducted a survey. The questionnaire included 15 questions that were based on subject self-observation of the functional activity vestibular apparatus.
Results. According to the survey results, we found 114 people with hyper sensitive vestibular apparatus. Among these analyzed manifestations of vestibular dysfunction and investigated the condition of the prevalence of symptoms of vestibular dysfunction among adolescents by gender.
We have found sex differences in symptoms onset in patients with established vestibular dysfunction and found that the link traced in 63% of patients with vestibular dysfunction between increased frequency of dizziness with changing weather changes.
Conclusions. There were established main types of dizziness and sex differences are that observed in meteosensitive people with sensitivity of vestibular apparatus.References
