DYNAMICS OF MORBIDITY AND PREVALENCE OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES AMONG UKRAINIAN POPULATION AT THE PRESENT STAGE: NATIONAL AND REGIONAL ASPECTS

Purpose - to examine the status, features and tendencies of morbidity and prevalence of cardiovascular diseases of Ukrainian population during 2008-2012.
Materials and methods. We studied the Data of the European Regional Office of WHO, the European database "Health for All» (HFA), the State Statistics Service of Ukraine, Centre of Medical Statistics Ministry of Health of Ukraine was studied. In study the system approach, statistical and analytical methods were applied.
Results. The increase in prevalence of cardiovascular diseases among population of the country during the 2008–2012 on 5,5% and reduce morbidity on 5,1% has been established. The greatest growth of prevalence indicators it is revealed in the Southern region – on 10,1%; the greatest decrease of morbidity - in the Western region (on 8,1%) and Kyiv (on 7,9%).
Conclusions. Features and tendencies of morbidity and prevalence of cardiovascular diseases among population of Ukraine, including the regional aspect it is necessary to consider at substantiation and working out of regional programs under prevention and struggle against cardiovascular pathology.
