Purpose. Studying the prevalence of basic stomatologic diseases at the children’s population living in rural areas compared to urban population.
Materials and methods. In study applied the method of system approach, epidemiological method, clinical examination methods, and statistical analysis.
Results. It is established that on one treatment per year following values of cases of dental treatment have: dental caries in urban children's population is 2,91±0,05, and at rural – 2,01±0,05; complicated caries (pulpitis and periodontitis) at city – 0,32±0,05, at rural – 0,39±0,05. The risk of complications for odontogenic osteomyelitis and phlegmons of maxillofacial area in the rural population in 1,1 times higher that at the urban areas.
Conclusions. Average indicators of hygienic index at adolescent population changes from 2.0 to 3.0 points, which confirms high morbidity of dental caries and its complications. Standardization of techniques of prevention, development of uniform standards of prevention activities among different population groups is necessary.
