Purpose: to justify of neonatologists loading specifications in maternity hospitals of different levels based on studying of working time expenses on different types of works and working operations with expert correction.
Materials and methods. Research is spent by phototiming method for 2 weeks in a round-the-clock mode. 135 labour shifts and 17 neonatologists are captured.
Results. It is established that in obstetric hospitals of tertiary level, which work intensively, normative and actual loadings on the neonatologists, expressed in number of newborns who have received assistance, practically does not differ, in secondary level hospitals standard loading in comparison with actual is more (especially in level hospitals 2A) that is the basis for further optimization of the network and the organization of maternity units work.
Conclusions. Data of phototiming studies corrected by experts, allows establishing standards of newborns number who have served by one neonatologist in hospitals of different levels.
