Purpose: the objective of this study is to analyze the organization of dental care for military personnel and veterans during wartime, with a particular focus on the provision of free treatment and prosthetic rehabilitation; research into modern approaches to planning medical and social rehabilitation for defenders of Ukraine, taking into account the current needs for restoration of the dentition, which directly affects both the physical condition of patients and their psycho-emotional well-being and social adaptation. Materials and Methods. An analytical method was applied to examine the legal framework and governmental programs regulating the provision of free dental services for servicemen and veterans. Content analysis of official medical reports, statistical data, and publications in professional scientific journals was conducted. A descriptive method was used to summarize clinical cases of treatment and prosthetics for defenders in public and private medical institutions, which made it possible to summarize both organizational and practical approaches to patient rehabilitation. Results. This study systematizes the existing practices of providing dental care to military personnel in Ukraine, considering medical, organizational, and ethical dimensions. It was found that combat-related injuries, limited access to oral hygiene during service, and high stress levels significantly contribute to oral health disorders. The introduction of free dental treatment and prosthetic programs improves functional outcomes, reduces psychological stress, and facilitates social reintegration. The pivotal role of the dentist within the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team ‒ alongside psychologists, surgeons, and rehabilitation specialists ‒ was emphasized, highlighting both clinical expertise and psychosocial support functions. Conclusions. Expanding governmental and volunteer-based programs for free dental treatment and prosthetics is a key factor in improving the quality of life of veterans and ensuring their successful post-combat adaptation. The integration of advanced digital technologies into diagnostic and prosthetic workflows, combined with psychological support within dental care, significantly enhances rehabilitation outcomes. Further development of partnerships between state institutions, private dental clinics, and international organizations is strategically important for building a sustainable system of dental care for Ukraine’s defenders.
