CONDITIONS FOR PROVIDING THE POPULATION OF THE TERRITORIAL COMMUNITY OF THE MOUNTAINOUS GEOGRAPHICAL ZONE WITH MEDICAL CARE

Abstract

Purpose: to study the conditions for providing the population of the territorial community of the mountainous geographical zone with medical care. Materials and Methods. Materials: passport and website of the Mizhhirya territorial community of the Transcarpathian region. Methods: bibliosemantic, of structural-and-logical analysis. Results. The Mizhhirya territorial community occupies an area of 554.1 sq. km, includes 22 settlements with 26,123 residents. Primary and pre-medical care is provided by medical personnel of the Mizhhirya Center for Primary Health Care, which includes 8 outpatient clinics of general practice-family medicine and 9 paramedic and obstetric centers. In 5 (22.7%) settlements with 1216 residents, there are no health care institutions in which medical care of the appropriate level is provided. Emergency medical care to the population is provided by medical personnel of the Mizhhirya Emergency Medical Care Station with 2 points of permanent basing of emergency medical teams. Specialized medical care for the population of the community is provided at the Mizhhirya General Hospital. There are no pharmacies in most settlements of the community. Conclusions. Not all residents of the community have equal access to health care facilities of different levels of medical care. It is necessary to adopt a targeted strategic program for providing the population with medical care.
