Purpose: to study the role of international project management in achieving the goals of strategic health management and stimulating transformational changes in the global health economy. Materials and methods. The study conducted a literature review and case study analysis, using analytical, semantic, and systems approach and systems analysis methods. Results. The study made it possible to draw several key conclusions about the role of international project management in strategic health management and the global health economy. International project management plays an important role in bringing together different stakeholders, including governments, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector, around common health goals. For example, the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria brings together more than 100 countries, donors, and implementing partners to fight three of the world’s most devastating diseases. The success of international health projects requires adapting global strategies to local conditions. An example of this is the Partnership for Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health (PMNCH), which brings together more than 1,000 organizations to improve maternal and child health outcomes. PMNCH’s focus on advocacy and policy development ensures that global strategies are adapted to local health systems and cultural norms. Conclusions. International project management is a cornerstone of strategic health management and a driving force for transformational change in the global health economy. To fully realize the potential of international project management, stakeholders must invest in robust structures that address regulatory, logistical, and cultural challenges.
