ANALYSIS OF CHILDREN’S HEALTH RISKS FROM GADGET ADDICTION AND EFFECTIVE PROGRAMS FOR ITS PREVENTION

Purpose: to study the problems of the impact of excessive use of modern gadgets on the health of children and adolescents and to develop effective programs for the prevention of gadget addiction in adolescence. Materials and methods. The study used methods of theoretical and methodological analysis and synthesis, empirical methods, psychotherapeutic training and statistical methods. To fulfill the research tasks, a sample was formed (100 respondents), adjusted in accordance with the main stages of the study. The total number of respondents was 100 people: 72 girls and 28 boys of adolescent age. The sample was distributed by age categories. Results. It was found that the study confirmed the significant impact of gadgets on adolescent development, in particular on the formation of worldview and behavior. The methodology, which included questionnaires and psychotherapeutic trainings, provided a comprehensive approach to studying the problem. The results indicate the need for further research into the impact of mass media and the Internet on the adolescent psyche and social skills, as well as the development of effective strategies to combat the negative consequences of gadget addiction. Conclusions. Gadget addiction, regardless of its type, has a profound and often destructive impact on the personality, health, and social relationships of children and adolescents. The importance of recognizing it and providing timely help is extremely relevant in modern society. Gadget addiction is one of the most serious forms of non-chemical addictions, as it affects all aspects of a person’s life – from physical health to social relationships and psychological well-being.
