Abstract

Purpose: to analyse the role of the public sector in vaccination of the population, to identify factors influencing immunoprophylaxis of the population.

Materials and Methods. The study assessed the state of immunisation of the population in Ternopil Oblast according to the Ternopil Oblast Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine. Data analysis was carried out using the scientific and metric database Web of Science Core Collection.

Results. Immunoprophylaxis is an essential component of the national security strategy. Today, there is an urgent need to implement the Strategy and Operational Plan for the Development of Immunoprophylaxis and Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases. This problem is solved by implementing measures at the national level, regional level and by service providers at the regional level.

The article analyses the data of the State Institution “Ternopil Regional Centre for Disease Control and Prevention of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine” in Ternopil region for six months of 2023–2024, the incidence rate by nosologies. The main goals and strategies for intensifying immunisation activities are presented, which will lead to improved vaccination results.

Conclusion. Fulfilment of the requirements of the Strategy and Operational Plan for the Development of Immunoprophylaxis and Protection of the Population from Infectious Diseases Preventable by Immunoprophylaxis for the Period up to 2030 will lead to a decrease in infectious diseases among children and adults.
