Purpose: to study the problems of physical and medical and social rehabilitation of participants in hostilities in Ukraine, which will allow to restore social skills, eliminate fixation of consciousness on experienced events and the state acquired as a result of them, restore cognitive and communicative functions in victims of hostilities.
Materials and Methods. The work uses the bibliosemantic method and methods of content and structural-logical analysis.
Results. The causes of maladaptation and neuropsychological disorders are considered in order to focus attention on the need for complex rehabilitation of combatants. Carrying out rehabilitation measures for military personnel has its own characteristics, since after participation in military operations, which were accompanied by a huge physical and psychological load, a powerful combined stress is generated. After providing primary medical care and highly specialized treatment in military hospitals, combatants need physical and psychological rehabilitation. This is a very important task, because a soldier who has been wounded or mentally traumatized as a result of hostilities and has not received proper rehabilitation is not able to effectively conduct combat operations on the battlefield in the future or fully return to peaceful life.
Conclusions. The training of qualified rehabilitation specialists and the creation of complex highly effective programs for the physical, medical, and psychological rehabilitation of victims are relevant. The multi-vector nature of the tasks of rehabilitation of combatants requires the effective functioning of this system as a separate area of clinical and physical medicine.
