CAPACITY BUILDING FOR MASTERS OF PUBLIC HEALTH TRAINING AT THE IVAN HORBACHEVSKY TERNOPIL NATIONAL MEDICAL UNIVERSITY OF THE MINISTRY OF HEALTH OF UKRAINE

Purpose: to investigate the history of efforts and activities to develop the capacity to train masters of public health at the Ivan Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
Materials and Methods. The methodological basis of the study is the analysis of scientific publications and data from archival materials using the historical and bibliographic method.
Results. At the Ivan Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the capacity to train masters in public health has been successfully developed. The history of development of the Masterʼs program in Public Health demonstrates a focus on continuous evolution and adaptation to changing social needs. Created in accordance with the requirements of the time, the master's program has been marked by significant achievements in the training of qualified public health professionals. The Master's program in Public Health was introduced at TNMU in 2019, and since then it has been successfully accredited (2020), 3 graduations have been completed and 5 admission rounds have been held, whose numbers show positive dynamics (2019 – 11 students enrolled, 2020 – 6, 2021 – 6, 2022 – 41, 2023 – 31). From 2019 to 2023, 23 master's theses have been defended.
Conclusions. Ivan Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine is continuously working to build the capacity to train masters of public health. At present, the Master of Public Health program is an important component of the Universityʼs educational process.
