Purpose: analyze data from the literature and determine the impact of electromagnetic radiation on the human body.
Materials and Methods. With the help of the Internet search database (in particular, Google Academy) and scientific articles, the peculiarities of the impact of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) on the human body were analyzed.
Results. Natural sources of electromagnetic radiation are described. It is indicated that the process of EMF interaction with living organisms can be represented in the form of phases. Phase 1 – absorption of EMR energy by the cells of a living organism in the form of breaking intermolecular bonds and destroying DNA. Phase 2 – conversion of EMF energy into chemical energy with the formation of ions and free active radicals. The 3rd phase is the development of radiochemical reactions in an irradiated living organism. It is noted that acoustic (sound) signals cause mild forms of tumors of the auditory nerve. The tumors affect 100,000 people a year and can lead to deafness, with around 4.700 people diagnosed with a brain tumor in the UK. The number of cell phone users who develop brain tumors has increased by 45 % in the last 30 years, and if the cell phone is constantly held on the same part of the head, the risk increases 4 times. According to American scientists, long-term regular carrying of a “mobile phone” in a pocket can reduce a man’s reproductive abilities by 33 %. Data provided about this. that low-intensity radio frequency radiation acts as a stress/oxidizing factor for the cell, leads to the development of leukemia, and that using a mobile phone for more than 1 hour a day impairs vision and hearing.
Special attention is paid to the choice of a mobile phone and the rules for using it. It noted that the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the national mobile operator "Kyivstar" signed a Memorandum of Cooperation within the framework of the “Kyivstar”–“Mobile Culture” social program.
Conclusion. A mobile phone is a necessary attribute of a person’s life, provided that all the rules of its use are observed.
