Abstract

Purpose: to study additional resources and advantages of distance education in the disciplines “Medical Psychology” and “Psychiatry” for students of higher medical educational institutions of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University in the conditions of military operations on the territory of Ukraine

Materials and Methods. A remote survey was conducted to study the influence of distance education factors on teaching for students of the Faculty of Medicine.

Results. The analysis of scientific research on this issue has shown an insufficient level of study of the peculiarities of the organization of distance learning in the process of training future doctors, especially the teaching of clinical disciplines. After all, under these conditions, clinical practice is important - working with real patients, taking an anamnesis, conducting diagnostic examinations, practicing practical skills of face-to-face communication with the patient, which are more difficult for a student to learn during distance education.

It was established that it is important for students of the first course of their studies to choose their own rhythm and mode of acquiring knowledge in conditions that are comfortable for them, as well as the use of new achievements of information technologies in education.

The priorities of middle course students are the importance of free access to educational materials, as well as the fact that distance education contributes to increasing the motivation, creative and intellectual potential of the student due to self-organization, the desire for knowledge, the use of modern information and telecommunication technologies, the ability to make responsible decisions independently.

The 5-6 course students consider the possibility of teaching material according to the level of preparation and basic knowledge of students, creation of additional platforms for information exchange to be important factors of distance education. It is also important that senior students study at the same time as a professional activity (or study in another field) to reduce the costs of transfers and housing rent.

Conclusion. The distance format of education has its advantages, the specificity of which is manifested depending on the course of study of students.
