Purpose: analysis of the medical and social characteristics of the family in children who underwent rehabilitation for disability due to musculoskeletal disorders, based on parents' questionnaire data.
Materials and Methods. A survey of 280 parents was conducted to assess social-psychological, correctional-pedagogical and physical rehabilitation of children with disabilities, children with cerebral palsy and other lesions of the central nervous system with disorders of the musculoskeletal system with the involvement of a multidisciplinary team of rehabilitators. The questionnaire includes several questions related to the social and medical characteristics of the child, information about the parents, the social status of the family, etc.
Results. 280 children with disabilities aged from 4 to 14 years were under observation. Each child received 10 comprehensive classes according to the standard of social services. The rehabilitation event included classes: physical rehabilitation, language and speech correction classes, correctional teacher classes, psychologist classes, and group classes: role-playing and didactic games. 280 respondents were interviewed. The key audience consisted of parents (legal representatives) of children undergoing restorative therapy. It was shown that 69.3 % of mothers and 73.2 % of fathers of children with disabilities had bad habits before pregnancy. Harmful working conditions were recorded by 21.8 % of mothers and 13.9 % of fathers of these children.
Conclusion. The obtained data indicate that the optimal choice of an individual rehabilitation program for a child with disabilities in the functioning of the organizational model of rehabilitation with the participation of a multidisciplinary team of specialists should take place with the involvement of the family, taking into account its medical and social status.
