Abstract

Purpose: to analyze data from literature sources and highlight interventions aimed at both community-wide and individual health needs.

Materials and Methods. An analysis of literary sources focused on improving the human living environment, reducing risk factors that form a significant burden of morbidity and mortality among the population, and stimulating those factors that, on the contrary, contribute to strengthening and preserving health, was carried out.

Bibliosemantic (study of specialized modern international literature on the researched problem) and analytical research methods were used.

Results. Achieving these goals at the national level is possible, among other things, thanks to a properly built and developed public health system as a set of public and non-public sector entities (including state authorities, local self-government bodies, international organizations, individuals and legal entities), which carry out a number of measures aimed at strengthening the health of the population, preventing diseases and increasing life expectancy.

Conclusion. Taking into account the European integration vector of the development of Ukraine, the health care policy is planned to be formed by building a public health system, which is a set of tools, procedures and measures implemented by state and non-state institutions to strengthen the health of the population, prevent diseases, prolong active life and working age and encouraging a healthy lifestyle through the combined efforts of the entire society.
