Abstract

Purpose: to analyze the effectiveness of sclerotherapy before the protocol of controlled ovarian stimulation in women with endometriosis-associated infertility and to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed protocols.

Materials and Methods. The study included 105 women aged 21 to 40 years with endometriosis-associated infertility. Patients with endometriosis-associated infertility were divided into 3 groups: 1 group (n = 34) – with unoperated endometrioid cysts, which underwent sclerotherapy and pre-pregnancy therapy before a protocol of controlled ovarian stimulation; Group 2 (n = 36) – with unoperated endometrioid cysts, which were sclerotherapy before the protocol of controlled ovarian stimulation, without pre-pregnancy treatment; Group 3 (n = 36) – women who underwent surgical treatment of endometrioid cysts and prescribed pre-pregnancy therapy before a protocol of controlled ovarian stimulation.

Results. After analyzing the effectiveness of controlled ovarian stimulation protocols in women with endometriosis-associated infertility, who underwent sclerotherapy and complex vitamin therapy with inositol and vitamin D3 before in vitro fertilization, more blastocysts 3,00 (2,00; 4,00) and high-quality embryos were found than in patients who did not receive this therapy.

Conclusion. Patients with endometriosis-associated infertility who underwent sclerotherapy and pre-pregnancy treatment with vitamin complexes with inositol and vitamin D3 before the controlled ovarian stimulation protocol showed a higher incidence of pregnancies compared to patients who underwent surgical treatment.
