THE INTEGRATING ASPECT OF CHOOSING A HEALTH STRATEGY: ROLE OF THE DETERMINANTS OF HEALTH

Purpose: to analyze the role and influence of socio-hygienic and demographic determinants of health, as well as the concept of a healthy lifestyle in a multifaceted aspect of choice of healthcare strategy.
Materials and mMethods. The data of sources of researches and methodical literature are used. Research methods: method of systemic approach, analysis and prognostication, biblio-semantic method.
Results. The health of the young generation is significantly influenced by social factors at the personal, family, community and national levels. The main causes of health loss, increased mortality and reduced life expectancy are the low level and unfavorable living conditions of a large part of the population, low efficiency of the existing health care system, the prevalence of bad habits and neglect of the necessity healthy lifestyle. The current situation requires improvement of approaches of public health in Ukraine, revision of recommendations and main principles of existing program and strategic documents in the healthcare system. There is a need to continue researches on the role and impact of health determinants.
Conclusions. Properly chosen healthcare strategy should include a direct multifaceted assessment of health, based on a holistic understanding of the functioning and adaptive capabilities of body throughout the life. The criteria for this are the informativeness of the integrational and energetical components, which include the harmony of the body’s functioning and its possible reserves without unnecessary risks and losses. The ultimate goal of preventing the negative effects of external and internal determinants is to keep the health at a high level of viability. For its implementation, it is necessary to maintain the so-called «safe level» of health in all its manifestations throughout the life of each individual and the public as a whole.
