Oksana Shevchuk is a distinguished Ukrainian medical scientist and academic leader specialising in pharmacology and clinical pharmacology. She serves as Professor at the Department of Pharmacology with Clinical Pharmacology at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, where she has been a faculty member since 2006.

Professor O. Shevchuk graduated with honours from I. Horbachevsky Ternopil State Medical Academy in 2004, subsequently obtaining her Master's degree in Internal Medicine (2005) and specialist certification in Therapy. She earned her PhD in Pharmacology in 2011 with a dissertation on hepatoprotective pharmacological interventions in combined antimycobacterial and antiretroviral therapy. In 2020, she successfully defended her Doctor of Medical Sciences thesis on minimising adverse reactions of antineoplastic drugs through carbon enterosorbents and granulocyte colony-stimulating factor preparations, both supervised by Professor K.A. Posokhova at the State Institution "Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology".
 
Beyond her academic research, Professor O. Shevchuk has demonstrated exceptional leadership in research management and internationalisation. She directed the Research Department at Ternopil National Medical University (2013-2022) and currently heads the Research Project Management Office (since 2022). She serves as Vice-President of RECOOP HST Association (since 2024) and is a member of the Scientific Committee of Ukraine's National Council for Science and Technology (since 2023).
 
Her research expertise encompasses adverse drug reaction prevention and correction (antiretroviral, antituberculous, and antineoplastic agents), innovative bone marrow protection methods, post-COVID pathophysiology, targeted drug delivery, endothelial dysfunction, and regenerative medicine applications including stem cells and extracellular vesicles for chronic wound healing. Professor O. Shevchuk has participated in numerous international research and educational programmes, including Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (H2020), Erasmus+ mobility programmes, and the Executive Master's in Management of Research Infrastructures from the University of Milano-Bicocca. She holds Cambridge English B2 certification and is an active member of international professional networks including IUPHAR, INORMS Research Evaluation Group, the Association of Ukrainian Pharmacologists, FEBS, and the German-Ukrainian Academic Society.
 
She has authored and co-authored over 200 scientific publications, including four monographs and eight patents, and has received multiple state awards for her contributions to medical science and international collaboration in healthcare.
