Immunobiological aspects of pathogenesis of lesions of the oral mucosa and salivary glands in children with influenza and other respiratory viral infections

Abstract

Summary. Based on the analysis of the relationship between the nature of the damaged protective and appropriate reactions and their orientation, determining the severity of infuenza and other respiratory virus diseases, we proposed a scheme of pathogenesis of infuenza complications. The main pathogenetic link clinical manifestations of acute respiratory infections in the oral cavity is an infectious infammation of the mucous membranes, accompanied immunobiological disorders in the oral cavity, arising on a background hiposalivatory, causing failure of protective mechanisms, on the other hand, acute viral sialadenit caused by infuenza virus and other respiratory viruses affect the function of the exocrine glands, resulting in a reduction in their functional activity.
