Authors and co-authors of manuscripts must adhere to the recommendations of the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) regarding authorship, manuscript preparation, submission, and publication.
All participants in the editorial and publishing process, including authors, reviewers, editors, and the publisher, are required to disclose any financial, professional, personal, or other relationships that may influence, or may be perceived to influence, the objectivity of manuscript evaluation, editorial decisions, and publication. Authors must disclose potential conflicts of interest when submitting a manuscript, while reviewers and editors must promptly disclose any relevant circumstances and, where necessary, recuse themselves from reviewing or making decisions concerning the manuscript. All identified potential conflicts of interest must be appropriately assessed in accordance with ICMJE recommendations.
For further information, please refer to the ICMJE recommendations on defining the role of authors and contributors.
The journal considers manuscripts that have not been previously published and are not under consideration by another journal, except in circumstances explicitly permitted by international editorial recommendations. Secondary publication of previously published material may be considered only when adequately justified, approved in advance by the editorial office, accompanied by the relevant permissions from the rights holder (where required), and transparently disclosed to readers as a secondary publication, in accordance with ICMJE recommendations on acceptable secondary publication. Submission of previously published material without notifying the editorial office or without complying with these requirements constitutes grounds for rejection of the manuscript.
