АNALYSIS OF THE MARKET AND PROSPECTS FOR THE USE OF HOMEOPATHIC MEDICINES FOR THE TREATMENT OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES IN UKRAINE

The aim of the work. To assess the prospects for the use of homeopathic medicines in cardiological practice based on the structural analysis of industrially produced and extemporaneously manufactured drugs registered in Ukraine.
Materials and Methods. The study employed bibliosemantic, logical, and analytical methods. The information base of the study was made up of official scientific sources and specialized electronic resources, in particular the State Register of Medicinal Products of Ukraine, the information system «Medicinal Control» information system, national medical and technological documents and European clinical guidelines for the treatment of arterial hypertension, the reference publication «Compendium. Medicinal Products», prescriptions for extemporaneous homeopathic medicines and scientific periodicals.
Results and Discussion. The article presents the results of a literature review on cardiovascular disease issues and therapeutic approaches, including complementary therapy methods, particularly homeopathy. The range of homeopathic medicines registered in Ukraine and used in cardiology was analyzed, and its comprehensive characterization was carried out according to a number of indicators. The results of the study showed that 11 trade names of industrially produced homeopathic medicines for cardiology have been registered in Ukraine, over 80 % of which are imported. The ranking of dosage forms in which produce industrially produced homeopathic medicines are released is as follows: oral drops > tablets > granules. Analysis of the extemporaneous homeopathic medicines segment showed that 12 names of drugs with indications for use in cardiology are available. The largest number of products in this group (10 trade names) is offered through the network of pharmacies affiliated with the Private Joint-Stock Company «National Homeopathic Association». The dominant majority of homeopathic medicines, both industrially and pharmaceutically produced, consists of polycomponent compositions of plant substances and mineral compounds in potencies consistent with homeopathic principles.
Conclusion. Despite a limited evidence base, homeopathic medicinal products affecting the cardiovascular system remain organically integrated into clinical practice. Given the limited range of domestic homeopathic cardiotropic medicines of industrial production, it is advisable to expand it by introducing extemporaneous preparations. Such an approach will contribute not only to improving the provision of homeopathic medicines to specific patients, but also to individualizing pharmacotherapy according to their needs, taking into account the economic accessibility of treatment.
