The aim of the work. Scientific substantiation and development of methods for express analysis of a multicomponent dosage form of extemporaneous manufacture - Kvater's mixture, adapted for use in pharmacy settings.
Materials and Methods. For experimental studies, extemporaneously manufactured Kvater's mixture, electronic laboratory scales "RAD WAG AS 200/C", class A measuring vessels, porcelain cups, beakers, Mora pipettes (5.00 ml, 2.00 ml, 1.00 ml), a dividing funnel, a porcelain infusor, graduated pipettes (10 ml, 5 ml, 2 ml, 1 ml), and glass slides were used. The methodological basis of the work is titrimetric methods that were used to quantitatively determine the ingredients in the composition of the studied dosage form.
Results and Discussion. During the study, methods for rapid analysis of the multicomponent Kvater mixture were developed and tested, based on a combination of selective qualitative reactions and direct titration methods (argentometry, iodometry, complexometry and extraction alkalimetry). It was found that the use of preliminary extraction with methylene chloride and conducting a control experiment with a herbal infusion allows effectively eliminating the interfering effect of concomitant substances, ensuring high accuracy of quantitative determination of ingredients within the limits of permissible deviations in accordance with the requirements of the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine and Order of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine No. 812. The results obtained confirm the validity and expressness of the proposed control algorithms, which allows us to recommend them for implementation in the practice of pharmacies in order to optimize the pharmaceutical analysis of extemporaneous dosage forms.
Conclusions. The methods of express analysis of multicomponent extemporaneous Kvater's mixture have been systematized and tested, which, thanks to the combination of selectivity and efficiency, provide effective quality control in a pharmacy with minimal time consumption.
