FEATURES OF FORMATION OF THE LEGAL COMPONENT OF PROFESSIONAL IDENTITY OF STUDENTS IN MEDICAL UNIVERSITY

The article examines and analyses the organisation of the educational process at a medical university with regard to achieving the programme outcomes of higher education students in terms of forming the legal component of their professional identity. The purpose of the article is to study the peculiarities of the organisation of the educational process at a medical higher education institution with the aim of forming the legal component of the professional identity of students. To achieve this goal, the following set of methods was used: systematic analysis, implemented using analytical tools such as content analysis and SWOT analysis; conceptual modelling; axiological and deductive methods; as well as other methods of scientific cognition. It has been found that there is no clear understanding among scholars of the essence of the process of forming the legal component of the professional identity of higher education seekers, but its importance has been emphasised. It was concluded that the process of forming the legal component of the professional identity of higher education seekers in medical universities is based on the interconnection of personal characteristics of an individual that ensure orientation in the world of professions, enable the realisation of personal potential in professional activity, and also contribute to predicting the possible consequences of professional choice. The expediency of applying a systematic approach in organizing the educational process in the context of combining basic and elective components that ensure the acquisition of skills and competencies by higher education seekers aimed at achieving global sustainable development goals has been substantiated. The need for further research on the formation of the legal component as an element of the professional identity of future specialists during the training of higher medical education seekers and related specialities in other fields of knowledge has been established.
