The article presents the results of an analytical review of the literature on orofacial manifestations in patients with eating disorders that negatively affect oral health. Purpose: to analyze the data of available literary sources on orofacial manifestations in patients with eating disorders. Research methods. The study used a bibliosematic approach, information search and systematic analysis of scientific sources using the scientometric databases Web of Science, MEDLINE/PubMed, Google Scholar for the last 15 years (2011–2026). Research results. Dry lips, burning tongue and enlargement of the parotid salivary glands are common manifestations in patients with eating disorders compared to medically healthy individuals in the control group. The relationship between caries and periodontal diseases and eating disorders remains relevant. It is also worth noting that temporomandibular joint disorders are more common among patients with eating disorders compared to healthy people. Conclusions. A thorough examination of the teeth and oral cavity during routine dental checkups can reveal valuable information about the presence or absence of eating disorders in ordinary patients. This can be important information for updating the medical record (anamnesis) and supporting the work of the dentist-therapist and psychiatrist (psychotherapist).
