Results and Discussion. During 2022-2024, an anonymous survey of 300 pharmacy employees and 60 doctors was conducted to study the real state of pharmaceutical and medical (in terms of pharmacotherapy) assistance to patients with stress, anxiety, and PTSD that arise during war.
Most pharmacists chose the answers "very often" (56%±2.9) and "often" (37%±2.8) regarding the frequency of visits to pharmacies by visitors regarding stress and anxiety, and doctors confirmed that patients contact them daily (50%±6.5) or at least 1–3 times a week (42%±6.4) for the same reason.
Among the groups of drugs that are mainly prescribed by doctors / dispensed by pharmacists for people with stress, anxiety, PTSD, antidepressants (97%±2.2 / 97%±1), tranquilizers (87%±4.3 / 84%±2.1), hypnotics and sedatives (70%±5.9 / 85%±2) were the most common. A significant increase in the frequency of prescribing antidepressants with the beginning of the full-scale invasion was confirmed by 92%±3.5 doctors and the dispensing of these drugs from pharmacies by them was confirmed by 77%±2.43 pharmacists. Analysis of the responses of pharmaceutical workers revealed that most of them (60%±2.8) believe that visitors prefer drugs for the treatment of stress, anxiety disorders, and PTSD in the price range of 100–300 UAH per package.
At the same time, antidepressants from the group N06AB "Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors", which led the responses of physician respondents for pharmacotherapy of patients with PTSD, have been included in the List of Reimbursable Drugs since September 2024.
Conclusions. The results of the questionnaire confirmed the importance of maintaining and improving the connection in the chain patient - doctor - pharmacist for providing pharmaceutical care to patients with stress, anxiety, PTSD.
