TRAINING OF BIO-SAFETY AND BIO-DEFENSE PROFESSIONALS AS A KEY REQUIREMENT FOR RELEVANT EFFECTIVE MEASURES

SUMMARY. Basic evidence of the extremely important importance of biological security and protection in maintaining the well-being of the country, especially in wartime conditions, is provided. Numerous works of Ukrainian and foreign scientists are devoted to various aspects of solving this problem.
The purpose of the work was to analyze important decisions of the central authorities of Ukraine regarding the implementation of biological security and biological protection measures of the state and to substantiate the need for the training of relevant specialists.
The results of studying the relevant laws of Ukraine, decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers and the National Security and Defense Council, including the Strategy for ensuring biological safety and biological protection for the period until 2025, show that they generally regulate medical and biological activities in this direction. At the same time, according to the authors of the article, it is necessary to start a new specialty for the purpose of training specialists to counter biological threats and to open its passport.
