Objective: to summarize current scientific data on the epidemiology of nasal breathing disorders caused by anatomical defects of the nose, to analyze their impact on public health indicators, and to substantiate the preven- tive potential of reconstructive interventions as a factor in preserving the socio-economic resource of society. Materials and Methods. The study methodology was based on a systematic analysis of scientific sources (2002–2026) concerning the preventive effect, clinical effectiveness, and economic feasibility of reconstructive rhi- noplastic interventions from the perspective of modern public health metrics. Results. The article summarizes current scientific data on the medical and social significance of nasal breathing disorders and the preventive potential of rhinoplastic interventions within the public health system. It is shown that deviations of the nasal septum and other anatomical defects of the nose are extremely common (up to 80–90% among the adult population) and constitute a significant, often underestimated burden of non-communicable dis- eases. Chronic nasal obstruction is considered a multisystem risk factor associated with the development of sleep apnea, cardiovascular disorders, cognitive impairment, and reduced quality of life, leading to losses in healthy life years (DALYs) and a decrease in the socio-economic potential of the population. It has been established that rhinoplasty and septoplasty have significant preventive potential at different stages of life: in children, they prevent disorders of facial skeleton development as well as cognitive and behavioral impair- ments; in adults, they reduce the risk of systemic complications, improve respiratory function, sleep quality, and the effectiveness of treatment of comorbid conditions. They also have biopsychosocial aspects–contributing to improved psycho-emotional well-being, reduced levels of anxiety and depression, and better social integration of patients. Under martial law conditions in Ukraine, they acquire a key role in the medical and social rehabilitation of individuals with combat-related facial injuries. Conclusions. Rhinoplastic interventions should be considered an effective tool of preventive medicine, capable of reducing the burden of chronic diseases, improving population quality of life, and contributing to the preserva- tion of human capital. The integration of reconstructive nasal surgery into public health strategies and care models aimed at optimizing healthcare delivery under wartime and post-war challenges is a practical necessity.
